The Little Gym
our story
About us
A History
of Serious Fun
An innovative educator, musician, and kinesiologist, The Little Gym founder Robin Wes envisioned a nurturing place where children could explore their physical development, while also growing socially, emotionally, and intellectually.
He opened the first The Little Gym in 1976 in Bellevue, Washington, and infused those early classes with the same positive, non-competitive spirit that characterizes us today.
We’re proud to have been the original creators of childhood development long before it trended online, and even prouder to grow alongside the mindful parents, passionate team members, and incredible kids who make this mission matter every day.

Elizabeth, Chloe, and Tabitha are absolutely amazing! I have two children ages 1 1/2 and 3 a girl and boy enrolled in three different classes, and they do an incredible job keeping every child engaged, active, and excited throughout each class.

Coach Ari is such a supportive coach! She keeps the class focused, meets students where they are but also appropriately pushes them to strive for more. She will spend an extra few minutes on a student if they are almost there.
