Our Story

Who we are atThe Little Gym of Snellville

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to tell you "our story."  We're Paul & Tammy Mazurkiewicz, owners of The Little Gym of Snellville.  How did we get to be the owners?
Well, that's a story we love to tell: Seventeen years ago, when our oldest daughter, Catherine, was five years old, she wanted to "do gymnastics."  We visited several of the competitive gyms nearby, but we weren't pleased at all by what we saw --- dreary facilities, lackluster employees, and children who were angry at themselves(!) for not being able to "nail" some skill.  Thanks, but no thanks.  That's not what we were looking for.
Then we visited our nearby The Little Gym.  Wow!  What a difference!  Bright, cheerful, clean facilities; smiling, friendly instructors; and children who relished in their own individual accomplishments.
We enrolled our daughter that night!  As we drove home from that initial visit, we said, "We should open one of these!"  Well, here we are with our own The Little Gym, serving the Snellville, Lawrenceville, Grayson, Loganville and surrounding communities.

Catherine is currently employed by the Gwinnett Braves and Atlanta Gladiators as an Audio Engineer.  Our youngest daughter, Amanda, also took classes here -- from pre-K through Advanced Grade School -- until "aging out" at age 13.  She now plays competitive volleyball for her high school and also plays 'club' volleyball.
Please visit the other areas of our website. You'll find our class schedule and lots of other cool stuff about who we are and what we do.
Y'all come see us at The Little Gym of Snellville!  We'd love to meet you.

Our Philosophy of Three Dimensional Learning

The Little Gym of Snellville, our environment is fun, but our purpose is serious. That’s why we embrace a proprietary philosophy called Three-Dimensional Learning, in which physical activity is a conduit for nurturing your whole child. The Three-Dimensional Learning approach to skill development means that every class we offer fosters growth in three holistic dimensions—Brain Boost!, Get Moving! and Citizen Kid!.  Read on to see how each dimension of learning helps your child grow into a well-rounded, well-adjusted super kid.

40 Years of Serious Fun

An innovative educator, musician and kinesiologist, Robin Wes envisioned a nurturing place where children could explore their physical development, while also growing socially, emotionally and intellectually. He opened the first The Little Gym in 1976 in Bellevue, Washington and infused those early classes with the same positive, non-competitive spirit that characterizes us today. Forty years later, children at The Little Gym of Snellville experience the benefits of Serious Fun.
