In our ongoing efforts to increase the safety and well-being of all of our Members, The Little Gym of Summit is now peanut and nut free.
Why have me made this change?
Although any allergy can be dangerous, nut allergies have a tendency to be particularly severe for some people and kids and, in some cases, potentially life threatening. Allergic reactions to nuts can be triggered through ingestion, but they can also be caused by contact with even small amounts of nut residue left on surfaces or spread directly from person to person. For those who are extremely allergic, even nut particles in the air can cause a reaction.
At The Little Gym, we want to keep every single one of our Members safe. And to do that, we need your help!
What do we need from you?
Please refrain from bringing any nuts or products made with nuts into The Little Gym facility. Check the ingredients label of any snacks for nuts. Even unlikely foods may contain nuts, so it is essential to check the label. Some foods may include a warning on the label that says, “manufactured in a facility or on equipment that processes nuts” or “may contain trace amounts of nuts.” Please don’t bring these foods, as they may have been cross-contaminated with nuts during the manufacturing process:
Some nut free snacks include fresh or dried fruit and non-nut butters such as sunflower seed butter. Many major brands of cereal bars, pretzels, and crackers are nut free, but please be sure to check the nutrition label.
We thank you for you understanding and cooperation! We know you will support our efforts to keep all of our Members and guests safe, and we thank you in advance for your help. If you have any questions about our nut free policy please feel free to call us at (908) 608-9400 or e-mail tlgsummitnj@thelittlegym.com.
