Welcome to The Little Gym! We’re so glad that you’re visiting our website!
What Do We Do At The Little Gym?
We are the Springboard for Life's Adventures...
We teach “real” gymnastics and dance at The Little Gym, but we are SO MUCH MORE! Our goal at The Little Gym is to give children the experiences and tools they need to succeed in life. We do this through the challenges and fun of learning a sport in a warm and nurturing, age-appropriate setting (the younger, the better – we start classes as young as 4 months old to develop confidence and a love of activity and learning!).
We focus on three main areas of learning:
(1) Physical Skills, such as balance, coordination, flexibility, and strength, as well as the specific gymnastics, dance, and sports skills we teach, which we call “Get Moving” skills;
(2) Cognitive Skills, such as listening, problem-solving, concentration, and decision-making, which we call “Brain Boost” skills; and
(3) Social & Emotional Skills, such as sharing, teamwork, cooperation, and respect, which we call “Citizen Kid” skills!
Check out our reviews here. (We don't screen out negative reviews :-))
At The Little Gym, we have “Serious Fun” – our students have a blast in each and every class, which is so important! However, our curriculum provides outstanding opportunities for learning and growth in all 3 dimensions of learning explained above, which is where the “serious” part comes in. We want parents to realize and appreciate all of the opportunities our program offers in order to understand that the true benefits of membership at The Little Gym extend far beyond gymnastics, dance, or sports skills. We realize these all of these skills cannot be learned in a short period of time, and that’s why our Season curriculum is designed as a program that parallels the school year in order to offer a full school year of learning opportunities. We also offer a summer session (June to mid-August) of classes, in addition to full or half-day camps over the summer and the holiday break.
What's Happening Right Now?
Our 2018-19 Season (which parallels the school year) is under way! The current session runs until June 1st , but we are still taking new enrollments for classes that have space available!
Can I Try A Class Out Before I Enroll?
Absolutely! We offer a complementary introductory class, so that your child can experience one of our classes before you make the decision to enroll. You can schedule your child’s introductory class through the website (go to the class schedule page, select the correct class based on your child's age, choose the day/time that best fits your schedule, hover over that class time and select "try now", or you can always call us at 217-546-8849.
What If I Can't Stay For The Entire Season?
Our current Season is 38 weeks long and runs through the last week of May. You can join at any time in any class that still has space available. We can schedule your child’s enrollment in classes for any timeframe that you like, and we pro-rate our tuition based on the number of weeks enrolled. If for any reason you need to withdraw prior to the end of the enrollment, all we ask is that you give us an advance written notice (we have a form for you to complete for our records!), and you will be refunded for any classes that have not yet taken place after the notice has been received. Please note that you will not be refunded for any past classes you have missed prior to the official cancellation notice being submitted. Any payment plan discounts you received at the time of enrollment will be deducted from your refund amount, but will be retained if you choose to take a credit to your account instead.

For class descriptions, click on our "schedules" tab at the top of every page (or click here) and scroll down to find the class type and age that fits your child, then hover on the + sign at the bottom right of each class name and a class description will appear.
For help finding the right class for your child, on that same page, you can contact us directly from the website by hovering your cursor over a class time that you are interested in and then clicking "learn more". This will allow you to complete an on-line inquiry which we will receive at our email address.
