Our Story

Who we are at

The Little Gym of Edmonton

We are so excited to announce that a new The Little Gym will be opening soon in Edmonton!  The Little Gym of Edmonton will be located at the 2nd Floor of Windermere Gate Plaza (Unit 201 6271 Andrews Loop, SW), Southwest corner of the intersection between Anthony Henday Drive and Rabbit Hill Road.  Stay tuned for more information on our construction progress, an opening date, and our upcoming open house.

Sherry and I (Jake) are the owners and we have two little ones at home.  As both working parents, we lived through the struggles to find good programs to boost our kids development while accomodating our busy schedule.  When we knew we were going to open The Little Gym, we were super pumped at the potential impact The Little Gym could make to the community.  We look forward to providing children the opportunity to grow their skills and build self confidence.  We will strive to make every child feeling accepted, loved and challenged to do his or her best. We can't wait to share this love of active, healthy, and confident living with every kid and family in Edmonton!

Our Philosophy of Three Dimensional Learning

The Little Gym of Edmonton, our environment is fun, but our purpose is serious. That’s why we embrace a proprietary philosophy called Three-Dimensional Learning, in which physical activity is a conduit for nurturing your whole child. The Three-Dimensional Learning approach to skill development means that every class we offer fosters growth in three holistic dimensions—Brain Boost!, Get Moving! and Citizen Kid!.  Read on to see how each dimension of learning helps your child grow into a well-rounded, well-adjusted super kid.

45 Years of

Serious Fun

An innovative educator, musician and kinesiologist, Robin Wes envisioned a nurturing place where children could explore their physical development, while also growing socially, emotionally and intellectually. He opened the first The Little Gym in 1976 in Bellevue, Washington and infused those early classes with the same positive, non-competitive spirit that characterizes us today. Forty-five years later, children at The Little Gym of Edmonton experience the benefits of Serious Fun.

We're proud of
