Our Story

Who we are at

The Little Gym of Cave Creek

The Little Gym of Cave Creek is owned and operated by Dan Drummond.

Dan has lived in Arizona since 2005 and fell in love with becoming a The Little Gym owner about 3 years ago.  After successful careers in the U.S. Air Force and the Corporate world, Dan was looking for something that would enrich lives (his and others) and fulfill his entrepreneurial spirit.  The Little Gym was the answer.

Dan and his wife, Marla, have two wonderful boys, ages 11 and 12. Opening The Little Gym of Cave Creek was the culmination of a great deal of research, a desire to give back to the community and make a difference, and months of training.

We are committed to provide a positive nurturing environment for children to explore and develop physically, intellectually, emotionally and socially.  At The Little Gym our focus is on everyone trying their best, not having to be the best.  This creates a non-competitive environment where children thrive and develop at a pace that is right for them.  We greatly appreciate the opportunity to influence your child’s development.

We look forward to seeing you at The Little Gym!  Let’s have some serious fun together!

Philosophy

Our Philosophy of Three Dimensional Learning

The Little Gym of Cave Creek, our environment is fun, but our purpose is serious. That’s why we embrace a proprietary philosophy called Three-Dimensional Learning, in which physical activity is a conduit for nurturing your whole child. The Three-Dimensional Learning approach to skill development means that every class we offer fosters growth in three holistic dimensions—Brain Boost!, Get Moving! and Citizen Kid!.  Read on to see how each dimension of learning helps your child grow into a well-rounded, well-adjusted super kid.

History
45 Years of

Serious Fun

An innovative educator, musician and kinesiologist, Robin Wes envisioned a nurturing place where children could explore their physical development, while also growing socially, emotionally and intellectually. He opened the first The Little Gym in 1976 in Bellevue, Washington and infused those early classes with the same positive, non-competitive spirit that characterizes us today. Forty-five years later, children at The Little Gym of Cave Creek experience the benefits of Serious Fun.
