Our Story

Who we are at

The Little Gym of Alpharetta/Johns Creek

The Little Gym Owners - The Mosby Family

We are Meghan and Michael Mosby and we are so glad you are here!  Our journey with the little gym began in 2018 at The Little Gym of Chicago.  We were looking for a place for our 18 month old to socialize and build his confidence.  The shy, reserved and cautions Miles blossomed into an outgoing and adventerous elementary school kid.

When we moved back to Atlanta to be closer to family we looked for the closest Little Gym to take our then 18 month old daughter Molly and this happened to be the closest location.  While too far for us to take her regularly we inquired about opening our own location in the Brookhaven/Chamblee area.  Now we are scheduled to open that location in early 2024.  We love the gym so much we purchased this location from the amazing previous owner Jane (she still owns Smyrna and Decatur locations).

We feel blessed and honored to have this opportunity to spread The Little Gym spirit all-across Georgia.  We hope to meet you soon!

Philosophy

Our Philosophy of Three Dimensional Learning

The Little Gym of Alpharetta/Johns Creek, our environment is fun, but our purpose is serious. That’s why we embrace a proprietary philosophy called Three-Dimensional Learning, in which physical activity is a conduit for nurturing your whole child. The Three-Dimensional Learning approach to skill development means that every class we offer fosters growth in three holistic dimensions—Brain Boost!, Get Moving! and Citizen Kid!.  Read on to see how each dimension of learning helps your child grow into a well-rounded, well-adjusted super kid.

History
45 Years of

Serious Fun

An innovative educator, musician and kinesiologist, Robin Wes envisioned a nurturing place where children could explore their physical development, while also growing socially, emotionally and intellectually. He opened the first The Little Gym in 1976 in Bellevue, Washington and infused those early classes with the same positive, non-competitive spirit that characterizes us today. Forty-five years later, children at The Little Gym of Alpharetta/Johns Creek experience the benefits of Serious Fun.
