Our Story

Who we are at

The Little Gym of Winchester

After twelve years of practicing law doing commercial litigation, Bob Greenberg was ready to do something fun and more productive. In August of 1994, Bob opened The Little Gym of Newtown, PA, which moved to The Little Gym of Langhorne, PA in 2015. Since getting his first taste of The Little Gym magic in 1994, Bob has gone on to open: The Little Gym of West Windsor, NJ in 1997, The Little Gym of Cranford, NJ in 2001 which moved to The Little Gym of Scotch Plains in October 2016, The Little Gym of Hatfield, PA in 2004, The Little Gym of Summit, NJ in 2010 and The Little of Winchester, VA in 2013.

Teaching kids skills, building strong bodies and minds, and growing self-confidence is what it is all about. The Little Gym's non-competitive, curriculum based gymnastics program provides an outstanding foundation. The key to our success is finding, training, and maintaining the finest possible staff that love to work with children. Bob has two children, who attended The Little Gym and are now college graduates. He loves playing with his own kids and teaching yours. Please call the Gym nearest you for an Introductory Class and find your child's happy place!

Philosophy

Our Philosophy of Three Dimensional Learning

The Little Gym of Winchester, our environment is fun, but our purpose is serious. That’s why we embrace a proprietary philosophy called Three-Dimensional Learning, in which physical activity is a conduit for nurturing your whole child. The Three-Dimensional Learning approach to skill development means that every class we offer fosters growth in three holistic dimensions—Brain Boost!, Get Moving! and Citizen Kid!.  Read on to see how each dimension of learning helps your child grow into a well-rounded, well-adjusted super kid.

History
45 Years of

Serious Fun

An innovative educator, musician and kinesiologist, Robin Wes envisioned a nurturing place where children could explore their physical development, while also growing socially, emotionally and intellectually. He opened the first The Little Gym in 1976 in Bellevue, Washington and infused those early classes with the same positive, non-competitive spirit that characterizes us today. Forty-five years later, children at The Little Gym of Winchester experience the benefits of Serious Fun.
