Our Story

Who we are at

The Little Gym of Westminster

The Little Gym of  Broomfield/Westminster is owned by The Kaufmann Family. Anna Kaufmann , who acts as Gym Director, was a competitive gymnast for over ten years and finished off her career by finishing sixth in the Junior Olympics. She has worked at several The Little Gym's throughout the country, and has been teaching The Little Gym program for almost twenty years. In June of 2003, Anna and her family, Connie (Mother-in-law),  Mark (Father-in-law),  and Dustin (husband) took over ownership of The Little Gym of  Broomfield/Westminster. Connie has brought her 15 plus years of day care experience to The Little Gym of Broomfield/Westminster. Dustin is our Sports Skills and Karate teacher, and has brought his years of experience in playing sports to The Little Gym kids.

McKenna Rizzi, Gym Director for The Little Gym of  Broomfield/Westminster, brings 4+ years of coaching to The Little Gym. She is finishing up her degree in Early Childhood Education at MSU. She can often be found encouraging  the kids (loudly) in any one of the many classes at The Little Gym. The Little Gym of Broomifield/Westminster continues to grow leaps and bounds (pun intended) We invite you to call or stop by anytime – were looking forward to meeting you!

Our Philosophy of Three Dimensional Learning

The Little Gym of Westminster, our environment is fun, but our purpose is serious. That’s why we embrace a proprietary philosophy called Three-Dimensional Learning, in which physical activity is a conduit for nurturing your whole child. The Three-Dimensional Learning approach to skill development means that every class we offer fosters growth in three holistic dimensions—Brain Boost!, Get Moving! and Citizen Kid!.  Read on to see how each dimension of learning helps your child grow into a well-rounded, well-adjusted super kid.

45 Years of

Serious Fun

An innovative educator, musician and kinesiologist, Robin Wes envisioned a nurturing place where children could explore their physical development, while also growing socially, emotionally and intellectually. He opened the first The Little Gym in 1976 in Bellevue, Washington and infused those early classes with the same positive, non-competitive spirit that characterizes us today. Forty-five years later, children at The Little Gym of Westminster experience the benefits of Serious Fun.
