Health & Safety Protocols

Thank you for being part of our The Little Gym family! The health, wellness, and comfort level of your family is a top priority for us, now and always. We are beginning to plan our re-opening and will be implementing enhanced cleaning and disinfecting procedures in addition to new social distancing measures to ensure that members, families, and our staff feel as comfortable as possible visiting The Little Gym.

This email highlights some changes and modifications we’ve made to enhance the gym experience as we reopen safely.

Following the instructions from the CDC (Center for Disease Control) and EPA (Environmental Protection Agency), we are making considerable improvements to the way our facility is disinfected to make it so fresh and so clean, clean! We know that many families already recognize The Little Gym as the cleanest place you can bring your child, and now more than ever, we will stay true to that sentiment.

New Cleaning Standards

We use an EPA registered disinfectant that meets the EPA’s criteria for use against SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19 and our disinfecting procedures are in alignment with the CDC recommendations

  • We will be cleaning and disinfecting the gym and gym equipment before, during, and after each class.
  • We will be cleaning and disinfecting the Multipurpose room after each use.
  • Bathrooms will be wiped down with disinfectant on an hourly basis and our checklist is posted and initialed
  • The high traffic surfaces in the lobby area will be wiped down with disinfectant between classes and will be fully cleaned and disinfected mid and end of each day.

Hand Washing Regulations

We are now implementing hand washing/sanitizing before and after each class. Parents and children will be asked to wash or sanitize hands when entering the facility and directly proceeding class. We will also have hand sanitizer available in the gym to use between stations.

Masks/Facial Coverings

To ensure the health, safety, and comfort level of our team, you will see our instructors wearing masks while teaching classes.  All adults will be REQUIRED to wear masks at The Little Gym while in class or in the lobby. Team members will also be temperature screened prior to each shift and required to wash hands with soap/water before & after each class.

Parent Sock Policy

In Parent/Child classes we are now asking all parents to wear socks inside the gym. Little ones should remain barefoot for safety on and around the equipment inside the gym.

Schedule Modification

We have updated our class schedule and implemented 10-15 minutes between each class to allow for less overlap of members in the lobby and the time to thoroughly disinfect the gym between groups.

Social Distancing

Class sizes have been reduced to accommodate Phase 1 reopening of Texas.  We have placed visual cues throughout the gym and lobby to aid parents and children to “socially distance”.  Many of our lobby furniture has been removed in order to allow for additional space between each chair. Finally, we have removed our legos, books, etc in the lobby to discourage lingering in the facility.

We assure you that we are taking all necessary measures highlighted by the CDC and EPA to ensure that The Little Gym is, and will continue to be, the cleanest place for all families and staff members.

We also realize that some of our members may make the decision to continue social distancing and stay out of public areas over the course of the next few weeks and we understand and respect that decision. No matter what you decide is best for your family, we are here for you. We will continue offering live, interactive, The Little Gym at Home Virtual classes to help keep children moving, learning, and having fun while at home. This NEW Virtual Subscription program is designed to provide your family with the flexibility you need without having to sacrifice your child’s ongoing physical development. While we know there are a lot of changes, both long term and temporary, however, a few things aren’t changing: our FUN, dedicated instructors, our age-appropriate class curriculum, the level of Serious FUN in each of our in-gym and virtual classes, and how much we love YOU!
