UPDATE! Coronavirus disease (COVID-19)
The Little Gym of Edina Closure Update 5.1.2020
After listening to our Governor last Thursday, the decision has been made to open up summer classes and camps on June 8th. As you know this is a moving target and all we can do is keep changing with the information that is in front of us. One new idea is virtual classes, those are being researched, writtend and tested as we speak in hopes to be able to offer virtual classes in the near future.
The Little Gym of Edina Closure Update 3.26.2020
I want to begin by thanking you once again for your ongoing support, especially as of late. As a small, family owned business, it broke our hearts to pause our classes and activities. Participating in your child’s skill growth brings us tremendous joy, and we love being a part of your lives. Our team misses you all terribly and we look forward to getting back to the fun and skill growth at The Little Gym of Edina as soon as it is safe. For now, we wanted to share some updates with you as it relates to your membership and class options.
Governor Tim Walz issues an executive order today that all businesses that fall under Executive order 20-04,20-08 and 20-20 remain closed until May1.This includes The Little Gym of Edina.
We will continue to update you via email and through posts on our social media pages. While classes are postponed, we will be proactively adding makeup classes to all accounts to cover those missed during the closure. These make-up classes will have an extended expiration, at least through our Summer 2020 session, even if you are not enrolled for summer. This is in addition to the make-up classes carrying over into any session in which you are actively enrolled, forever. We promise to exhibit the utmost flexibility to ensure you get these classes made-up and provide your child with plenty of future skill-growth opportunities. We will add new make-up class times (specifically on weekends) and will be letting siblings utilize the make-up classes as well, even if they are not presently enrolled.
To show our gratitude for your loyalty to our The Little Gym of Edina family during this difficult time, we want to assure you that it is our priority that all our families to get the full value of the tuition with which you are supporting us. If make-up classes are not an option that will work for your family, we will gladly put a family credit on your account for any that are not used. These credits will not expire and can be used for future enrollments in classes, camps, Parent Survival Nights, birthday parties, and introductory visits. We will also allow these family credits to be put into a gift certificate and you may gift them for others to try our programs. In addition, we have also created a program called “Pay it Forward” for families to donate makeups that accrue during this time to families of medical professionals, first responders and others whose occupation is considered essential. When we reopen, these will be made available to those families as a thank you for their sacrifice during this time.
As fellow parents and partners in this community, we want to do what is best for each of our customers while also trying to support our team. We promise to always find solutions that are flexible and fair to all of our members and to provide you with the customer service you have come to expect in our business. If you have questions about your specific account, we encourage you to reach out to us at email@example.com. Since we are ordered to stay home email will be the best form of communication.
The current plan is to open up on Monday May 4th 2020, I am sure there will be more communication from the Governor on what the ‘re-opening’ process looks like and how it applies to The Little Gym of Edina.

We realize that your children, just like all of us, may be experiencing a variety of emotions as they adjust to changes. They might be picking up subtle cues from our personal stressors and/or having trouble adjusting to changes in routines and schedules. For some children, the relationships they’ve made with their teacher at TLG and their weekly classes are very important. We would be honored to continue to be a part of your child’s lives. Last week, we launched The Little Gym at Home virtual experiences on our Facebook page. This is a fun way for your child to see their favorite instructors and keep moving and learning while at home. If you or your child has any special requests for activities, feel free to text or email us and we will do our best to accommodate. In addition, our instructors would take great joy in seeing pictures/videos of your child following along with the activities.
On behalf of the entire team at The Little Gym of Edina, we want to express how grateful we are for your dedication to our very special community. While there may be physical distance, we are committed to staying connected and we thank you for being at the heart of everything we do.
Stay safe, and we cannot wait to see you as soon as possible!
If you are stuck at home, please follow us on Facebook for some fun classes to follow. Enjoy! The Little Gym of Edina.
In an effort to protect the health, safety and well-being of our customers and staff, and with the recent Governor’s news of the schools closing, we have decided to suspend all operations at The Little Gym of Edina for 2 weeks starting Monday, March 16th and ending Sunday March 29th.
This will be a TEMPORARY suspension of classes and parties. Our initial plan of action is to remain closed until Monday, March 30th. On the 30th, we intend to re-open and finish the remaining Season, unless directed otherwise by the MN Department of Health and/or Governor Walz.
I know there will be many questions about what this means for you. Every enrolled student will receive makeup classes for the week(s) that we are closed. For those that did not call ahead this last weekend and stayed home, you will receive an make-up. I have extended the time to use these accrued "corona make-ups" until the end of the summer session.
In addition to our extended generous makeup policy, I am working to add more creative options on how to exchange makeups for future Camps, PSNs and other activities to allow all of our families to get the full value of the tuition you're paying us. Thank you for your patience and support as we work to find solutions for all our families. We know that this unprecedented event is affecting every one of you in our TLG family. Our heartfelt thanks for your support of our small business during this difficult time. We could not exist without you!
Your safety and well-being are always our top priorities. If you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to reach out to us at 952-924-0083, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or text us at 952-800-7779.
Once again, thank you for being part of our family!
Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions. We appreciate your patience as our response time to email, voicemail and text may be a little longer than usual, but we promise to get back to you as soon as we can.
Slater Crosby and your TLG Crew!
