Health & Safety at The Little Gym of Arlington/Mansfield

#Local

As you are likely aware, the city of Mansfield in Tarrant County, is now requiring all adults and children over the age of 10 to wear face coverings while in public facilities where social distancing is not possible, this goes into effect on Friday 6/26/20 at 6 pm.

To help protect The Little Gym of Arlington/Mansfield families, our team, and abide by the local mandate, we are asking all adults and children over the age of 10 to wear face coverings when entering & exiting the building, sitting in the lobby area and when 6 feet social distancing is not possible.

  • Employees are required to wear a mask in the lobby, at the desk, when spotting a child or when 6 feet social distancing is not possible.
  •  Members, (children over the age of 10, parents, caregivers) are required to wear a mask when entering the building, sitting in the lobby, checking in your camper, when exiting the building and in a parent/child class when 6 feet social distancing is not possible.

While we know face coverings can be uncomfortable for some, it is important that we all put on our Citizen Kid capes and abide by the local mandate to ensure that The Little Gym of Arlington/Mansfield is able to remain open for Serious Fun Classes and Camps!

Teacher Student Ratio - Abbott has our facility at 50% Capacity
Under the recommendation from of Gov. Abbott & the CDC we will be limiting the number of children and parents in each class to adhere to Social Distancing Guidelines. Please remember, this is temporary and will change as the Federal, State, and Local Governments put new guidelines in place.
Parent/Child: 12 families and 1 instructor, please note this only allows only 1 adult per child in the gym.
PreK: 12 students and 2 instructors
Grade School: 12 students and 2 instructor
Cleaning & Disinfecting
As we have shared before, we are following the instructions from the CDC (Center for Disease Control) and EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) to ensure that our facility is so fresh and so clean for your family. Now, more than ever, The Little Gym is and will be the cleanest place you can bring your child.
Check out our new procedures below!

We are using Simple Green D Pro 3 Plus Antibacterial Concentrate, a CDC and EPA approved cleaning solution, to clean and disinfect our entire facility.
  • We will be cleaning and disinfecting the gym and gym equipment before, during, and after each class.
  • We will be cleaning and disinfecting the Multipurpose room after each use.
  • Bathrooms will be wiped down with disinfectant between classes and will be fully cleaned and disinfected midday and the end of each day.
The lobby area will be wiped down with 70% Isopropyl Alcohol between classes and will be fully cleaned and disinfected midday and the end of each day.
Hand Washing
This is the way we wash our hands, wash our hands, wash our hands… at The Little Gym! Sing it with us! As you are aware, hand washing is SO important for killing off icky germs. Because of that, we are now implementing hand sanitizing before and after each class. We will also have hand sanitizer available in the gym to use between stations. At any point you may wash your hands with soap and water in either restroom.

Parent Sock Policy
In Parent/Child classes we are now asking all parents to wear socks inside the gym. Little ones will still be required to remain barefoot for safety on and around the equipment inside the gym.
Drinking Water
We encourage all students to bring a clearly labeled water bottle to class as we will be closing our Quench System for the time being.
Facility Updates
We have made a few temporary changes to our lobby to help support social distancing. These changes include: “spot markers” on our floors to help parents and kids remain 6-feet apart, removal of some seating and toys to limit close contact with others.
We also ask that The Little Gym families do not enter the facility more than 5 minutes before their scheduled class and do not remain in the building more than 5 minutes after class to ensure that our team can properly clean and disinfect our facility. We will also be temporarily implementing a one-way entrance and exit of the building.
These will both be clearly marked.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Thank you for your ongoing support! We can’t wait to see your family in the gym or virtually soon!
