We are proud to be the new owners of The Little Gym of West Littleton, Colorado as of August 1st, 2010. Operating a The Little Gym in Colorado has been a dream of ours for some time and it is exciting to see it come to fruition.
Myself, Nikki, and my husband, Nick, are definitely not strangers to The Little Gym. Growing up in Boise, Idaho, I first started working at The Little Gym in 1993 while in college at Boise State University. It was the perfect place to work while I balanced my studies and cheerleading for the Broncos! After school, I became a high school social studies teacher for several years before making the decision to relocate to Austin, Texas, and get back into The Little Gym family. In January of 2004, I was hired by The Little Gym International (the corporate office) to be a Training Specialist for the entire franchise system. I was soon promoted to the Director of Training, the position I have held since.
Nick was born and raised outside of Washington, DC in Northern Virginia. After graduating from George Mason University he moved down to Richmond, VA where he discovered The Little Gym in July of 2005. With his strong personality and work ethic, Nick quickly went from the favorite instructor, to Program Director, to Gym Director. With the owner of that gym's strong encouragement to Nick and The Little Gym International, he was hired onto the corporate team in Scottsdale, AZ. Nick has served as an Operations Consultant for the last 3 years, and will continue to serve the franchise community and help other gyms in the family as a Field Consultant. And although he hasn't worked in the gym for nearly 4 years...he still gets calls and emails from families in Richmond who miss him!
So it was in the corporate halls of The Little Gym International that Nick & I met. We were a "The Little Gym couple." And now...we are a The Little Gym family. We welcomed our first child into the world on February 1st, 2010. (It has been a busy year so far!) Our daughter, Tyler Ann, has been spending her Tuesday afternoons in a Bugs class at The Little Gym of Paradise Valley, AZ with both my husband and myself, and we look forward to getting the Bugs class (4 - 10 months) started in West Littleton in the Fall.
As you can see, we have a lot of "TLG experience." We believe in the vision of The Little Gym Founder, Robin Wes: to create a place where children can have fun, be safe, feel great while learning skills, and learn to love themselves for who they are! We are honored to work in a business that is devoted to building skills and confidence in children. And we could think of no better place, in the entire country, than beautiful Colorado, to influence the development of children, and integrate ourselves into the community. And so we chose Littleton.
