The Little Gym of Round Rock is owned by Dean and Libby Hague-Smith. Dean and Libby have always wanted to do something that made a difference and had a positive impact on people and their community. Once they found The Little Gym, they knew they had found their calling.  This will be the second location for Dean and Libby who have owned and operated The Little Gym of Austin at Lakeline since 2008.

Both Dean and Libby have always had a passion for children and their backgrounds are perfectly suited for being owners of The Little Gym.  Dean has a Business degree from Victoria University in Wellington, New Zealand and Libby has a degree in Economics from Columbia University in New York. 

They met in South America while Libby was living in Chile and Dean in London.  After traveling around the world together they lived in London, Miami and New York.  Libby worked for many years in Sales and Marketing and Dean continues his career in IT with WebMD.  They both look back on their extensive childhood experiences in sports and athletics as key building blocks in making them the people they are today.  Growing up in New Zealand, Dean learned teamwork and leadership as the captain and MVP of his rugby team.  Libby was also captain of her high school soccer team in Texas and learned about dedication as she played on a high school traveling team and varsity soccer for Columbia University. 

As a child, Libby also tried dance and gymnastics and loved it, but eventually gave up discouraged at “not being good enough” and wishes now that there had been a non-competitive program around like The Little Gym for her as she would have thrived in such a program much more.  Therefore, both Dean and Libby feel so fortunate to own, now, two The Little Gym’s, so the children of Round Rock will learn, as the children at Lakeline have experienced, in a FUN, NON-COMPETITIVE and NUTURING environment.

Now parents of three young boys themselves who are currently growing up in The Little Gym program, Dean and Libby are experiencing the curriculum’s benefits first hand.  They have been thrilled with their children’s skill growth and increased confidence, not to mention the smiles and laughter!

Dean and Libby have an exceptional staff of well trained directors and instructors, many with degrees in fitness and education and all have successfully completed the vigorous The Little Gym instructor training program!
