It's the day after Halloween, and we're teaching poses on the high beam, consecutive forward rolls on the floor, and inverted pike hangs on the bars.

Half of my Funny Bug group has rounded itself up into the donut, giggling. So I say, "Hey Funny Bugs.... who went Trick-or-Treating yesterday?"
Faces light up as they yell, "I did! I did!"
We go around the donut as each child tells me who they were for Halloween... Spiderman, Belle, a princess, Daphne. Nice!

In our closing circle, I quickly have ALL the kids tell me what they were for Halloween. This time, Spiderman says, "An astronaut."
Hmm... "Were you Spiderman? Or an astronaut? Or did you change costumes in the middle of Halloween?"
"No, I didn't change costumes. Sometimes I forget what costume I was wearing."

Oh, Funny Bugs.... you say the darndest things!

Hello Parents!

I just wanted to take this opportunity to tell you how much fun I had in our Grade school class today!
Our Saturday class starts at 1:15pm and runs for a full hour.

The boys worked with Mr. Paul on their cross support swings and rear dismount on the parallel bars; the girls worked with Miss Dorothy on their front and stride supports.

During vault we worked on acceleration and proper hurdle technique, along with squat-throughs on the trapezoid stack.

The skill of focus on floor was the round-off.

Mr. Paul and I look forward to more fun-filled Saturday classes and advancing your Grade Schooler's skills! If you have friends interested in a Saturday afternoon gymnastics class, please encourage them to call us to schedule a free introductory class.

Happy Handstands,
Miss Dorothy
