My name is Chelsea Segura, and I partly own and fully run The Little Gym of Lafayette! After working at The Little Gym of Baton Rouge for almost two years, I decided that it was not fair that the wonderful children of Acadiana were deprived of the opportunity to grow Developmental skills in a Fun and Safe environment to build confidence that leads to a LIFETIME OF SUCCESS! After introducing The Little Gym concept to my parents, Ronnie and Tina Segura, they felt the same way and finally understood why I felt so passionate about bringing The Little Gym to YOU! In March of 2010, we purchased the franchise and have been working together very hard since then to make sure that The Little Gym of Lafayette becomes all that it can be, and more!
I have worked with children my entire life! I began at a very young age babysitting and have loved working with children ever since. Throughout my 4 years at Louisiana State University, when I wasn't working at The Little Gym of Baton Rouge, I was busy babysitting. In addition, I have over 10 years experience in cheerleading, tumbling, and competitive gymnastics. I graduated from LSU with a Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology, the study of human movement. The Little Gym's cirriculum and philosophy pretty much sums up all that I have learned about gymnastics and human movement & development.
