Sports and sports-related activities play an integral part in almost every child's
physical and social development. Learning the basic sport skills, in an age appropriate manner,
creates a foundation for positive experiences in all the different sports for kids.
Young athletes in our Sports Skills Development classes will learn fundamental sports skills –
throwing, catching, kicking and striking – while playing a variety of sports all kids enjoy,
like soccer, football, basketball and baseball. As they participate, the kids will acquire a basic
understanding of the rules and strategies associated with each specific sport. In addition, kids
will gain a fundamental understanding of the meaning and importance of teamwork and sportsmanship.
Our non-competitive Kids Sports Skills class focuses on age appropriate skills that create a foundation
for positive sports experiences. Kids build skills that give them the confidence and preparation that helps
them join in the fun of team sports as they grow. By the end of this class, your child will have been
introduced to the skills associated with the various sports covered by the program.
