Our instructors' various backgrounds in gymnastics, physical education and child development are complementary to The Little Gym's teaching philosophy. They are passionate about kids and we can't wait for you to meet them!
Melissa: Operations Director
Melissa is a mother of three boys and has over 15 years teaching experience. She has a B.S. Degree in Speech-Language Pathology and a B.S. in Deaf Education. Melissa was a competitive gymnast growing up and knows that The Little Gym's approach to the sport is way more encouraging and positive. Melissa has been employed with The Little Gym for 6 years and wouldn't want to be anywhere else. She handles the daily operations for the Germantown and Potomac locations.
Katie: Lead Instructor
Katie is always passionate about her work and is dedicated to providing THE BEST experience for every customer every time. She is particularly good at handling young three year-olds and the "sometimes difficult" child. Katie genuinely wants every kid to experience The Little Gym because she knows that it will give them confidence, strength, and success for the future. You can see Katie most days as she teaches nearly all of our programs.
Ally: Lead Instructor
Ally was first introduced to The Little Gym when her older sister took a job there. She soon realized that it sounded like way too much fun and joined the team. Ally is currently pursuing an Associate's Degree in Sign Language Interpreting while working part-time at the gym. She is extremely passionate about working with grade school kids in the instruction and execution of gymnastics skills. Ally teaches in our Pre-K, Dance, and Grade School classes and also coordinates our monthly Grade School gymnastics clinics.
Val: Lead Instructor
Just get Val talking and you'll soon realize that she has a lot of interests, including interior design, cooking, pets, fitness, and family. Though a native of Florida, she and her fiance have called Maryland home for the past few years. Val is always smiling in her Parent/Child, Pre-K Gymnastics, and Pre-K Dance classes. Kids and parents enjoy her classes due to the comfortable vibe and down-home feel. Come meet our southern charmer today!
