Maureen and Al Ruthazer have always been passionate about children. After dreaming of owning a business for many years, Maureen and Al finally decided that it was time to put their dream into motion. They opened their first The Little Gym in Danvers in February of 2003, and opened this location in Woburn in October 2005! They LOVE helping kids grow their physical, social, and emotional skills and are thrilled to be spreading the magic of The Little Gym to the children in the Woburn area!

Maureen and Al are both perfectly suited to be owners of a The Little Gym®. Maureen has a strong background in customer service and helping families. She has a Bachelors degree in American Studies from Brandeis University and Juris Doctris degree from Massachusetts School of Law. She was a family law attorney before joining The Little Gym. Al has a Bachelors degree in engineering from Cornell University and Masters of Management Science degree from University of Massachusetts Lowell. With a passion for developing staff and ensuring top quality products and processes, Al led business operations for the 18 years preceding his opening The Little Gym. Together, along with a top team of professionals, they apply their past experience and skills to ensure The Little Gym offers the highest value to its customers.

The Little Gym of Woburn has been growing by leaps and bounds (pun intended!). They have two children, Sammy (age 14) and Jake (age 12), who have never been happier.

Most classes still have some openings in them...and the birthday parties hosted at The Little Gym are awesome too! Please visit our our beautiful and safe 4500 sf facility.

The Little Gym of Woburn has an exceptional staff of well trained directors and instructors, many with degrees in fitness and education. The instructors have over 35 years (combined) experience teaching children, and all have successfully completed the rigorous The Little Gym instructor training program!
