RIDE WITH US IN THE HOLIDAY 2009 PARADES!

Members, would you like to ride with us in the Knightdale and Zebulon Parades this holiday season?  Members with current accounts are welcome to register at our front desk for either the Knightdale Parade (Saturday, December 5th) or the Zebulon Parade (Sunday, December 6th).  Children under 5 years of age must be accompanied by a parent.  We are excited to participate in the parades again this year and look forward to having our kids on the float with us!  We can only have 30 kids max sign up for each parade.  First come, first served!  Happy Holidays!

Wellness Policy

Many parents recognize The Little Gym as a safe and clean place in which to bring their children. In light of all the reports in the media, we thought this was a good time to remind members about  our Wellness Policy. We also want to reassure families that we are being even more diligent about keeping our facility clean. Specifically, we have reviewed the guidelines from the CDC (Center for Disease Control) as it relates to the appropriate recommendations for minimizing the spread of viruses and germs.

Here’s where you can help. As with any other illness, we ask that you do not come to class if your child is coughing, sneezing, has a rash, eye infection or sore throat. Your child should be without a fever or diarrhea for at least 24 hours before returning to class. Our generous make-up policy allows you to attend a make-up class in any program by simply calling us prior to the absence. (i.e. A cheerleading class can be made up in a gymnastics or karate class. Make ups are not exclusive to any one program.)

Because your membership and overall health is important to us, we are extending our make-up policy beyond the current semester. Some parents are taking extra caution by limiting their child's time outside of the home. If this is the case for your family, and if you are not able to reschedule your child’s class before Show Week, any absences from April 27th through the end of this semester can be scheduled during the next semester in which you are enrolled.

Some additional tips to help keep your child well include frequently washing their hands with soap and water and using alcohol-based disposable hand wipes or gel sanitizers. You can also remind your child to cover their coughs and sneezes with a tissue. Teach them to avoid touching their eyes, nose, and mouth.

We’re proud to play an important role in your child’s development and look forward to seeing you in class each week. Please feel free to call us if you have any questions or concerns.
