The Little Gym franchise has again been ranked the “#1 Children’s Fitness Program” by Entrepreneur Magazine in their January “2008 Franchise 500” issue!

Toirey and Michelle’s paths crossed nine years ago while working toward their MBA at Bridgeport University. As their friendship developed they noticed that they have so much in common. They share the same birthday, they have adorable little girls that are 6 months apart and they both share a deep rooted passion for becoming successful entrepreneurs.

When Toirey and Michelle encountered The Little Gym concept they knew that it was a must for their daughter’s Toirasia and Sydney. They were in awe of how quickly their daughters were developing and were equally amazed at how much Fun the owners were having while simultaneously building upon their skills.

Toirey always knew that her career path would always consist of working with children. She was a New York City educator for five years. She then began working for the one of the largest children’s publishing companies. When she noticed that she was no longer having Fun in the corporate world she decide that putting smiles on the faces of children was extremely important to her. In her roll as the Owner/Program Director her goal is to have Fun and make a long lasting impression on every child enrolled at The Little Gym of Harlem.

Michelle worked in the telecommunication industry for over 13 years were she held various Marketing, Finance & Human Resource positions. Michelle also has a strong love for the arts. She has studied ballet and modern dance for over 20 years. After having her daughter; Michelle realized that climbing the corporate ladder was no longer a priority to her. Realizing that she could be an owner of such a community enriched business which will allow children to develop their motor skills in a Fun, non-competitive environment that builds confidence and success is her goal as Owner/Gym Director.
