Video of our Team Tumbling Show
We end each School Year session with a "Big Show" where the gymnasts perform routines on floor, uneven bars, parallel bars, and balance beam. As part of our yearly tradition, the instructors also like to do their own tumbling routine to get the kids excited.

What makes The Little Gym different?

So what sets The Little Gym programs apart?
 
Many things.
 
  1. We have been teaching non-competive gymnastics since 1976 and our philosophy has remained the same in all those years. "Motor skill development made fun builds confidence that leads to a lifetime of success."
  2. We focus on teaching a select few programs so that our instructors can become experts in that specialty. And when The Little Gym franchise community does introduce a new program, rest assured it's done with thoughtful preparation, development, and piloting it at real gyms before being rolled out.
  3. There is a focus on developing the "whole" child. Our unique approach is known as Three-Dimensional Learning. GET MOVING is the physical domain which presents weekly opportunities to gain coordination, strength, balance, and body awareness. BRAIN BOOST is the cognitive domain which presents tasks like sequencing, phonemic awareness, and skill recognition. CITIZEN KID is the social aspect of peer interaction, communicating needs, taking turns, and being able to handle setbacks in a positive way.

"Building" New Skills with Lego Duplo
Building healthy bodies and minds is already a part of The Little Gym experience. Beginning this month, you and your child can also enjoy building with

Lego® Duplo® preschool building toys! Children ages 19 months through 4 years old will have an opportunity to build upon their problem solving, imagination, and socialization skills through new, exclusive activities and programs. Look for Duplo® experiences in:

 

  • Wonderkids Club: Each session of The Little Gym's supervised learning program will incorporate a 20-minute Duplo® building activity that corresponds with the Learning Unit and Lesson Plan for that week.
  • Special Parent/Child Events: Bond and play together at The Little Gym! Beasts and Super Beasts members (along with an adult) can participate in monthly complimentary Duplo® experiences called "Let's Build, Let's Play"
  • Awesome Birthday Bash parties: Looking to "build" a little more fun into your next birthday party? Ask about how we've added special Duplo® experiences into parties for kids age 2-4!

Meet the Gym Director Melissa
Hello Everyone!
 
When you begin taking classes at The Little Gym of Germantown, we invite you into our family. I'm the Gym Director Melissa and I am eager to meet you.
